O sonho da razom nasceu como investigaçom formal minimalista a partir de umha fotografia tirada no mar da Galileia em 1886. Interessava-me tanto a referência espacial e geográfica (Palestina) da imagem como a temporal e histórica (a limpeza étnica). Mas durante a montagem a película foi absorvendo mais e mais materiais até converter-se, a partir das imagens das cámaras de seguridade da Flotilha Sumud Global de 2025, em um complexo ensaio sobre os monstros da razom sionista.
O sonho da razom é tamém umha indagaçom sobre a materialidade dos suportes audiovisuais, e portanto sobre a nossa maneira de mirar, de entender a informaçom visual y aural, e de apreender a história. A política é a história em estado presente.

The Dream of Reason originated as a formal minimalist investigation built upon a photograph taken at the Sea of Galilee in 1886. The interest lay equally in the image’s spatial and geographical references (Palestine) as in its temporal and historical dimension (ethnic cleansing). However, during the editing process, the film absorbed more and more material until, drawing from the 2025 Global Sumud Flotilla CCTV footage, it evolved into a complex essay on the monsters of Zionist reason.
The Dream of Reason is also an inquiry into the material support of image and sound — and thus into our gaze, our understanding of visual and auditory information, and our apprehension of history. Politics is history in its present state.
